≈THË sÒûnÐ õf ŠÏlÊnÇÉ ≈

Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone,
'Neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare Disturb the sound of silence.
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
" But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming. And the sign said,
"The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls."
And whisper'd in the sounds of silence.

memories...

A good poem... a good memory... this is the first poem that my ex bf wrote for me =)
Mi mano busca la tuya, como un fantasma
Mi mirada busca la calidez de tus ojos y solo encuentra oscuridad
Mis brazos buscan el abrigo de los tuyos
Y solo encuentran el aire
Mi espíritu quiere volar a tu lado

Grito de Dolores and Independence...

The Grito de Dolores was the call for the independence of Mexico given by Miguel Hidalgo on September 16, 1810 in the town of Dolores, near Guanajuato. The phrase by which this is known is something of a pun in the Spanish language; "Grito de Dolores" can mean both "The Shout from (the town of) Dolores", and "The Cry of Pain", signifying the pain that the rule of Spain caused Mexico. Hidalgo rang the church bell to gather his congregation, then called for Mexican independence, the exile or arrest of all Spaniards in Mexico, and ended by calling out, "Mexicanos, viva México!" (Mexicans, long live Mexico!) Mexico's independence was recognized by the Spanish viceroy in 1821, and since then the President of Mexico traditionally rings Hidalgo's bell (now at the National Palace on the Zócalo in Mexico City) and repeats Hidalgo's words each year at 23:00hr on the night of September 15.

About the flag...

Green: Hope
White: Purity
Red: Union also blood
La bandera de Mexico, the flag of Mexico, contains ancient imagery based on Aztec culture of an eagle with a snake in it's mouth perched on a cactus. While searching for a homeland, the deity Huitzilopochtli and his followers discovered a spring that ran two streams of water. One stream was red as blood and the other bright blue and thick. Soon after Huitzilopochtli and his followers also discover a large eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus grasping a snake in it's talons. Huitzilopochtli sees this as a sign to build the city of Tenochtitlan. The ancient city of Tenochtitlan is now the capital of Mexico, Mexico City.
The emblem-shield symbolizes the Aztec heritage. According to a beautiful legend, the gods had advised the Aztecs that the place where they should establish their city was to be identified when they saw an eagle, perched on a prickly pear tree, devouring a serpent. They saw this mythical eagle on a marshy lake that is now the zócalo or main plaza in Mexico City.
This flag was created in 1821, when the Independence movement had ended victoriously. Posted by Hello

What I really want...

I want to find someone that I can love so much, that he will come before me. That his needs come before mine are met. I also want him to know that he will always come first and I will always love him no matter what happens. That I will always be there for him, to talk with, to cry with, to laugh with. Some one that is not afraid of expressing his feelings and what's on his mind. I need someone that can communicate with me when arguments or disagreements arise, and talk them through like loving human beings. So when I need a hug I wish he could give me one or alot... call me fool but that's what I really want!
"An ideal marriage is a true partnership between two imperfect people, each striving to complement the other, to keep the commandments, and to do the will of the Lord." Elder Russell M. Nelson

Feelings

I wish I could be neutral
I don't want to feel...
love is not love is suffer...
suffer is not suffer is pain...
and pain is death...
I want to love but I don't want to suffer,
I want to give all but I don't want to lose anything,
I whis this could be easier but it's getting harder,
simply wish is impossible...
feelings are nothing but a hindrance...

nothing

This is a "new goal" :

If you yourself are at peace, then there is at least some peace in the world.

No way!

I was thinking to write about all the awful things that I have been throught lately ... but no way! I will put all that in the "rubbish department" of my "warehouse"... but something that I really want to let here is something that I read few hours ago...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Nelson Mandela
